Women’s Cricket

Coalpit Heath CC Ladies Softball Cricket team formed in 2018, when a number of mums and partners were bribed to give cricket a try with the promise of prosecco.

Since then our merry band has continued to grow in both numbers and experience!

We were founder members of the Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation (GCF) Women’s Summer Softball League (Bristol division), winning the inaugural title in 2019.  We continue to be fully participating members of that league, plus the GCF Winter Indoor league, and new for 2023, the Hundred Cup.

We have also arranged and attended many friendlies and festivals just for fun, and do love an evening out at the local curry house. We normally train on a Thursday evening through the summer months, but may squeeze in the odd Wednesday to accommodate Thursday matches.

We are a friendly bunch with a great range of abilities and ages (from year 7 upwards), so whether you have previous experience or are brand new to cricket, you are welcome to join us and give cricket a try.  We look forward to seeing you!
